Refund policy

At Blossom Ritual, we want every cup to feel like a quiet pause in your day. If something about your order isn't quite right, we're here to make it right. Please review the policy below before initiating a return.


Return Window

You may request a return within 7 days of delivery, calculated from the delivery date shown by the carrier.

Requests received after the 7-day window cannot be accepted.


Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following conditions:

  • Unopened, sealed, and in original factory condition — for returns due to change of mind, no longer wanted, or any non-defect reason.
  • Opened items — eligible for return only if the product is defective, damaged in transit, or the wrong item was shipped.
  • All original packaging, tins, pouches, gift boxes, and inserts must be retained and returned with the product.
  • Proof of purchase (order number or order confirmation email) is required.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


First-Time Customer Goodwill Guarantee

We understand that taste is personal. If this is your first order with Blossom Ritual and the tea simply wasn't to your liking, we will accept your return and cover the cost of return shipping, even for opened items. To qualify:

  • You must be a first-time purchaser (one Goodwill return per customer / household / email address).
  • The request must be made within the 7-day return window.
  • You must email us first (see "How to Initiate a Return" below).

This guarantee is our way of welcoming you into the ritual. We trust you to use it in good faith.


How to Initiate a Return

All returns must be approved by Blossom Ritual before the product is shipped back. We do not accept unauthorized returns.

To begin a return, please email support@blossomritual.com with the following information:

  1. Your full name
  2. Your order number
  3. The item(s) you wish to return
  4. The reason for the return
  5. Photos, if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect

We respond within 24 hours and will provide return instructions, including the correct return address and, where applicable, a prepaid return shipping label.

The return address depends on how your order was fulfilled — see the next two sections.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service when paying for your own return. We are not responsible for return packages lost or damaged in transit before they reach us.


Amazon-Fulfilled Item Returns (Flavored Tea Blends and Tea Gift Sets)

Items fulfilled by Amazon — including products in our Flavored Tea Blend and Tea Gift Set collections, and items purchased through Buy with Prime — are returned to our Amazon fulfillment warehouse, not to our Florida office.

  • After your return is approved by email, we will send you the correct Amazon warehouse return address and a prepaid return shipping label (where applicable).
  • Please do not ship Amazon-fulfilled returns to our Florida office. Packages sent to the wrong address may be delayed or refused.
  • Once Amazon receives and processes the return, we will issue your refund per the timeline in the Refund Processing section below.

Vietnam-Shipped Item Returns (Matcha and Teaware)

Because items in our Matcha and Teaware collections ship from Vietnam, returning them across borders is impractical. We handle these returns differently:

  • Items under $50 (per item): No physical return is required. Once your return is approved, we will issue a full refund and ask that you keep, donate, or dispose of the item as you wish.
  • Items $50 and above (per item): We will arrange for the item to be returned to our U.S. address in Florida and absorb the return shipping cost on approved returns. Detailed instructions will be sent by email.

This applies to all return reasons, including first-time customer Goodwill returns.


Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return (or, for Vietnam-shipped items under $50, once your return is approved):

  • Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days to your original payment method.
  • Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 5–10 business days to post the refund to your account. This timeframe is outside our control.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is issued.

We refund the product price and any taxes paid. Original shipping charges are non-refundable except when the return is due to our error (defective, damaged, or wrong item).


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Gift cards
  • Items marked "Final Sale" or "Clearance"
  • Free promotional items, samples, and gifts with purchase
  • Items returned after the 7-day return window
  • Items returned without prior email authorization
  • Opened items that are not defective, damaged, or incorrect (outside of the First-Time Customer Goodwill Guarantee)

Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or contains the wrong item, please contact us at support@blossomritual.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the item and the original packaging
  • A brief description of the issue

We will offer a replacement or full refund at your choice, and cover the cost of return shipping when a return is required.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. If you would like a different product, please return your original item under this policy and place a new order separately.


Refused or Undeliverable Packages

Packages refused at delivery or returned to us because of an incorrect address provided by the customer will be treated as a standard return, subject to this policy. Original shipping charges are non-refundable, and the cost of reshipping is the customer's responsibility (see our Shipping Policy for details).
